The 4th annual Peach Jam comes back downtown Romeo featuring Pro Skateboarder, Garold Vallie.  This annual event will now be featured downtown on the corner of Benjamin and Main Street right next to TNT Martial Arts studio. Event activities to include special skate clinic starting at 4 p.m. featuring Vallie along other local instructors including Robbyn Spangler Magby, Jordan Garland and more. 

1st place - Jared McWethy                    2nd place - Eddie Bardizbanian                3rd - Lukas Nics

Spangler magby and Garland will also be on hand to judge both beginner and intermediate clinics for male and Girls Gear divisions. Misfit Lab mobile rails, boxes and ramps will be part of the parking lot set-up. Prizes from NEFF, Gliks, vitaminwater and McDonald's awarded to the top 3 in each division. Don't miss this annual event during one of the Midwest's biggest summer festivals!

The most prominent and well known action sports camp is hosting some of Michigan's very own. Camp Woodward, with five locations in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Nevada, California AND China welcomes Girls Gear Champion Christiana Smith, and 2011 AGANATION.COM Online Open Champ, Eddie Bardizbanian (aka 'Big Eddie B').  'Big Eddie B' is attending Camp Woodward for winning last year's online video contests sponsored by vitaminwater. Welcoming the two will be Jordan Huffman, who worked with the AGA Nation video crew in 2011. Huffman, after a three day internship is now a full-time staff member at Camp Woodward.

'I have the best job in the world,' said Huffman, who helped filmed 2011 St. Clair, Grand Haven, Wake Wars and 'Extreme - A-Ween' events, 'the people at Camp Woodward have been great to me and I learn something new everyday! We have some amazing projects on the way and its great to see the athletes of tomorrow today at Camp Woodward'.

Smith, who also took 2nd place at the St. Clair Jam in men's intermediate division, captured the 2012 Girls Gear Championship, $100 in cash and awesome prizes from Glik's, NEFF and DC when she dominated the State Games of Michigan skateboard competition in Grand Haven. Her name is now on the AGA Cup, which showcases winners from the past 5 years of AGA Nation competitions.

Bardizbanian, whose name was engraved last year, is one of the most active skaters around including supporting many events, local shops and brands. Be sure to check back to www.aganation.com to win skate decks from vitaminwater this Fall!

AGA Nation heads into the second half of the McDonald's Adrenaline Games campaign with two events in August including the first ever 'Wake 'Em Back' at Placid Wake Park, Sunday, August 26 and 4th annual Peach Jam in Romeo, Michigan. 'Wake 'Em Back' welcomes back college students for the Fall season including special shuttle service for Grand Valley State University (GVSU) students.  AGA Nation is working closely with Placid Wake Park and GVSU student services to create a one of a kind wakeboard party at one of the Midwest's top cable parks, Placid Wake Park (corner of Lake Michigan/84 Ave) located just 15 minutes from the Grand Valley main campus.  Beach volleyball, SUP, food/drink specials, big air demos and some of the best cable park competition to close out the summer!

 

AGA Nation returns once again to the Michigan Peach Festival hosting the 4th annual Peach Jam, Friday, August 31, featuring a competition for intermediate and beginner skaters as well as skateboard clinic. Metro Detroit - Action sports entertainment company, AGA Nation (www.aganation.com), today announced additional details for the Race for Life & Michigan State Championship Race Qualifier @ Grand Traverse County BMX Race Track, Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29. Hosted by GTC BMX, located at 3625 Nimrod RdTraverse City, Michigan, the weekend will feature cash prizes, USA BMX competition and the chance to earn double points towards District Standings. Over $1,000 dollars in cash and prizes to be awarded including $600 cash for various competitions on Saturday. The weekend event is presented by McDonald's.
 
 
GrandTraverseCountyBMX Raceway opened as a sanctioned NBL (National Bicycle League) track in 1999 through the generous support of the Klingelsmith Family and Northwest Michigan Fair Association . In the summer of 2011 The NBL (National Bicycle League) and the ABA (American Bicycle Association) merged and USA BMX was born. USA BMX serves as the sole sanctioning body for GTC BMX and boasts 70,000 members nationwide. USA BMX coordinates national, regional, state, and local scheduling for all tracks as well as manage the 2012 U.S. Olympic BMX Trials (in conjunction with the United States Olympic Committee and USA Cycling).
 
 
The event is free to spectators. For athletes competing there is a registration fee of $20.00 for each race .The double points race weekend is a GTC BMX of USA BMX and AGA Nation production.
